Member of the Shura Council, Muhammad Al-Masry, Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee, and Deputy Head of the Development Team in the Capital Municipality, Hamoud Al-Naqib, was briefed today on the progress of the training course for the leaders of multi-purpose cooperative societies in the Tahrir, Shaub, and Al-Thawra districts.

Member of the Shura Council, Muhammad Al-Masry, Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee, and Deputy Head of the Development Team in the Capital Municipality, Hamoud Al-Naqib, was briefed today on the progress of the training course for the leaders of multi-purpose cooperative societies in the Tahrir, Shaub, and Al-Thawra districts.
During the visit, along with the Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the secretariat, Engineer Abdul-Malik Al-Ansi, and the Director of Associations in the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Nabil Rajeh, Al-Masry pointed out the role relied on by associations in achieving local development in the directorates.
He urged the leaders of the cooperative societies in the Tahrir, Peoples and Al-Thawra districts to redouble and integrate efforts in implementing the tasks and work assigned to them and achieving the desired goals.
In turn, the Captain stressed the importance of developing the performance of multi-purpose cooperative societies, enhancing their developmental and service role in various fields, advancing local communities, and striving to achieve paths of development and self-sufficiency.
He pointed to the interest in training and qualifying association leaders in the field of cooperative development work, and developing their capabilities and skills in a way that contributes to improving performance and the success of the associations’ plans and goals at the district level and overcoming challenges.
The Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee touched on the tasks and great responsibilities of these associations in activating self-initiatives, building capabilities, and exploiting and developing resources to implement development and service programs and projects that meet the aspirations of citizens.
The course, which is implemented by the Bonyan Development Foundation and the Bonyan Academy for Training and Qualification over a period of 15 days, aims to raise the capabilities of 30 trainees from the leadership of the administrative bodies of urban cooperative societies in the districts of Tahrir, Shaub, and Al-Thawra, in accordance with the directions of the revolutionary leadership to achieve self-sufficiency.
The course, funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Secretariat, also aims to provide participants with the necessary administrative, technical and financial skills, and prepare the association’s strategic plan, executive and operational plans, and the association’s internal manuals and policies.
