The founding meeting, which was organized by the association’s preparatory committee, was held with the support of the local authority in the capital secretariat, represented by the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, and in coordination with the Bonyan Foundation.

Today, the Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society in the Old Sanaa District was launched in the capital secretariat.
In the founding meeting, which was organized by the association’s preparatory committee, with the support of the local authority in the capital secretariat, represented by the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, and in coordination with the Bonyan Development Foundation and the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the secretariat, the draft statute of the association was approved, and the administrative body and the oversight and inspection committee were elected.
During the announcement, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Local Development Sector in the Ministry of Local Administration and Development, Khalil Al-Quraishi, pointed out the importance of establishing and announcing cooperative societies in the districts of the Capital Secretariat, which will constitute a real breakthrough towards cooperative development work.
He pointed to the role relied on by associations in coordinating all efforts and capabilities and employing them to serve development paths, in a way that improves service conditions and meets the aspirations of the people of society.
While the directors of initiatives in the Ministry of Administration and Local Development, Abdo Masri, and the associations in the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the capital secretariat, Nabil Rajeh, and the directorate, Mahdi Arhab, and the Sanaa region in the Bonyan Foundation, Wael Al-Far, touched on the efforts that were made in preparing for the establishment of the cooperative association for the people of the Old Sanaa Directorate... praising the cooperation and support of the local authority in the secretariat and the relevant authorities for the efforts to establish the association.
The announcement was attended by the head of the Agricultural Cooperative Union in the capital secretariat, Abdul Hafeez Hisn, the mobilization official in the Old Sanaa Directorate, Rizq Al-Gharara, and a number of leaders.
