An official visit to the “The Best What Our Hands Produced” and “Your Ramadan is Local” festivals to support national products and productive families

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for the Marketing Sector, Mr. Mohsen Atef, along with the Executive Deputy of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Capital Secretariat, Samir Hamza, and the Director of the Slaughterhouses Office, Ahmed Idris, made a field visit to the “The Best What Our Hands Have Produced” festival.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for the Marketing Sector, Mr. Mohsen Atef, along with the Executive Deputy of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Capital Secretariat, Samir Hamza, and the Director of the Slaughterhouses Office, Ahmed Idris, made a field visit to the “The Best What Our Hands Have Produced” festival, organized by the Al-Wahda Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, whose activities began on the 23rd of the month of Shaaban and will continue until the 26th of the same month.


During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the festival’s pavilions and the local agricultural and food products and handicrafts it offers that reflect the efforts of local producers and contribute to strengthening the national economy and encouraging reliance on local production. They also listened to an explanation from those in charge of the festival about its goals of supporting small producers and enabling them to market their products.


Visitors praised the organizational level of the festival and the diversity and quality of the exhibits, stressing the importance of such events in promoting the culture of local production and encouraging cooperative initiatives that contribute to the development of the agricultural and food sectors and opening broader marketing opportunities for national products.


The visit also included viewing the activities of the “Your Ramadan is Local” festival for productive families, which is held by the Bonyan Development Foundation in cooperation with the Municipality of the Capital in the Tahrir District, where the delegation learned about the various products it provides to productive families, within the framework of supporting small projects and enhancing their role in providing the needs of the local market during the holy month of Ramadan.


They emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering productive families and small enterprise entrepreneurs, because of their effective role in improving livelihoods and promoting economic and social development, stressing the continuation of joint efforts between official and community bodies to expand initiatives supporting local production and marketing it.


These visits come within the framework of interest in encouraging national productive initiatives and enhancing partnership between government and community institutions to support sustainable development and achieve self-sufficiency.
