Al-Wahbani visits the “Second Yemen Goods” festival for pomegranates, apples and grapes

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Jaber Al-Wahbani, reviewed today the “Second Yemen Goods” Festival for pomegranates, apples, grapes, and dates, which is organized during the period “4-8” of this October by the Local Council of Amanat Al-Asimah, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Jaber Al-Wahbani, reviewed today the “Second Yemen Goods” Festival for pomegranates, apples, grapes, and dates, which is organized during the period “4-8” of this October by the Local Council of Amanat Al-Asimah, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.

Al-Wahbani, accompanied by the local Secretary General of the Capital Municipality, Amin Jamaan, toured the sections and pavilions of the festival, which includes Yemen’s agricultural products of “pomegranates, grapes, apples, and dates,” and the pavilion of productive families and agricultural associations for marketing, export, and import.

They heard from the organizers of the festival an explanation about the nature of the exhibition and its objectives aimed at enhancing the status, quality and value of agricultural products locally and globally, contributing to their marketing, supporting and encouraging farmers, sellers, marketers, agricultural and export institutions, and highlighting the extent of their ability to compete in marketing, investment and export in local and foreign markets.

Al-Wahbani praised the level of preparation and organization of the festival, which reflects the orientation of the revolutionary and political leadership and its keenness to support, nurture and encourage national agricultural products to reach self-sufficiency, as well as working to support small rural farmers and support the national economy.

He stressed that the festival contributes to supporting farms, agricultural inputs, and everything that serves the national economy, noting that the festival itself is a message that the country and the people, under the wise leadership, are continuing to advance the nation in the economic, agricultural, and industrial fields despite the current challenges.

On its second day, the festival witnessed a large turnout from citizens, farmers, marketers, exporters, and businessmen, to learn about the types and advantages of fruits that Yemen abounds and that are distinguished by their quality and taste from the rest of the world’s products.
