The committee assigned by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the capital secretariat carried out a field trip to the Bani Al-Harith district.
The committee in charge of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the capital secretariat carried out a field trip to the Bani Al-Harith District, with the aim of following up on the technical work and studies related to the rainwater harvesting basin project at the end of Al-Sa’ila Al-Kubra, and reviewing the needs of the second phase of the Al-Ahadan Farm project.
The committee included the Deputy Executive Director of the Unit, Samir Ahmed Hamza, the Technical Deputy Fadel Hussein Al-Najjar, the Director of Studies and Planning, Engineer Issam Rizq Al-Faqih, the Engineer Yasser Abdel Karim Karsh, the Head of the Supervision Department, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Bahm, in addition to the Director of Operations and Follow-up, Faye Sharif Al-Ansi.
The committee was accompanied by the advisory team consisting of Dr. Ali Hussein Al-Sanabani, Engineer Muhammad Ali Saad Al-Ansi, and Engineer Zaid Issam Ziara, where a field visit was carried out to the site of the rainwater harvesting basin project with the aim of examining the needs of the basin body to conduct surveys and specialized technical studies, which contributes to assessing the stability of the basin body and its accessories and ensuring its engineering integrity in accordance with the approved technical standards.
The field visit also included a visit to Al-Ahadan Farm to see what was accomplished in the first phase of the project, and to determine the technical and implementation needs required for the second phase, in a way that enhances the efficiency of benefiting from the project and supports the sustainability of its outcomes.
The committee stressed the importance of carrying out careful field studies and research on the project site, because of its pivotal role in ensuring the stability of water facilities and enhancing the efficiency of rainwater harvesting projects, which reflects positively on supporting water resources.
She explained that the relevant administrative procedures will be completed and the competent authorities will be provided with the necessary technical reports after completing the assigned tasks, in order to ensure continuity of work in accordance with the approved plans for the project.
The implementation of the Harvest Basin (Water Lake) project is funded and supervised by the Sana’a Municipality, represented by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, at a total cost of 600 million riyals, while implementation is undertaken by the Executive Unit for the establishment, maintenance and development of roads and public places in the Capital Municipality.
