A meeting at the General Authority for Science, Research, Technology and Innovation discussed the mechanism for supporting the authority’s projects in the agricultural aspect to meet national needs.

A meeting at the General Authority for Science, Research, Technology and Innovation discussed the mechanism for supporting the authority’s projects in the agricultural aspect to meet national needs.


The meeting, headed by the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Mounir Al-Qadi, reviewed all the projects that the Authority has implemented and is working on in the agricultural field, in addition to projects to develop local industries for agricultural supplies.

The meeting included the Vice President of the Authority, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Houri, the Authority’s Undersecretary for the Technology and Development Sector, Dr. Hamoud Al-Nahari, the Executive Director of the Agricultural Initiatives and Projects Support Unit in the Capital Secretariat, Abdullah Sharaf Al-Din, and the Directors-General of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the Capital Secretariat, Nasser Al-Kahali, Planning in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Amer Hatami, Projects and Investment in the Authority, Fawaz Al-Hubaishi, and Agricultural and Industrial Development in the Authority, Engineer Osama Al-Dimashqi.


The meeting touched on projects aimed at enhancing food security and localizing agricultural technologies in Yemen, the Authority’s roles and tasks, a number of strategic projects it has completed, and the innovative solutions they represent that serve the national economy.


At the meeting, Dr. Al-Qadi confirmed that the Authority attaches special importance to the agricultural sector, based on its pivotal role in achieving food security and enhancing reliance on local products.


The meeting was attended by a number of department directors and project heads in the Authority.
